Chilean Ghost Town After Volcano Eruption

Puerto Montt, Chile is a virtual ghost town since the massive evacuation of the town to avoid catastrophe when the nearby volcano erupted.  Interior Minister Edmundo Perez said that 40 to 45 people of a total population of more than 4,500 remain there one day after the Chaiten volcano erupted.  Meanwhile, the volcano is still erupting, shooting out ash in plumes as high as twelve kilometers.  The Interior Minister is not sure if the citizens of Puerto Montt wiill be able to return to thier homes.
