When authorities arrived on the doorstep, the teens had just returned from getting the steaks for the cookout. They told Creel’s grandmother and her husband that four members of Dickson’s family had been killed, and Dickson didn’t know police were looking for him. In order to get the teens to return at the request of the police, Creel’s grandfather called his cell phone to say the four-wheelers needed to be returned and cleaned before it starts raining. Upon their return, Dickson was arrested.
“We were just cutting up and having fun all day,” Dickson’s 19-year old friend, Creel, told the Independent-Mail of Anderson.
